I
had just a great time last night at 'Bar 33'. It was
so nice to see how our group grew and finally dominated
the place, much to the astonishment of the other guests!
For some time we thought that they would probably take
us for a bunch of off-duty-army guys (me being the NATO
observer) but when it turned out that we had finished
ALL the fruit punch, we knew they thought 'probably
not army - maybe an army of fruits'.
What
I love about KaraOK is that it is so forgiving and understanding
and everybody can have their go, regardless. Very impressive
to hear some great voices - KEITH sounds even better
when you're sitting next to him! It was a wonderful
sense of community, chatting to people, looking at BEN's
pictures from the Sarong Party and the Birthday (did
you notice that JOHN is on every third picture? How
does he do that? :), talking to first-timers (I hope
JAMES you had a good time - welcome!).
So
touching how everybody was so concerned whether I would
like the music (yes! and JACKY Cheung is my favourite!)
and BYRON making sure everybody had 'the chance' to
sing...(I did hand in a song, honest - I have witnesses
- but it did not come up for a long time and then we
had to leave because JO had to work the next day...)
